Material Handler

Based in the Western Suburbs of Sydney, Custom Denning is currently on a very exciting journey when it comes to pioneering the way for locally manufactured electric vehicles in Australia. We are currently working very closely with the NSW government to support government infrastructure plans of transitioning NSW buses from diesel to an electric fleet by 2035.

Due to the growth of our team, we have identified a need to hire several permanent full time Material Handlers to support our production team.  These are newly created roles and we have several vacancies available.

A Typical Day as a Material Handler:

This role will primarily see you working closely with Production Managers and Supervisors in ensuring workstation kits are fully stocked at all times. 

This role will also be responsible for bringing any quality issues to the attention of the Warehouse Manager and assisting with the organisation and cleanliness of your designated workstation(s).

This role plays a critical part in ensuring our production team members can focus on the job they have to do by ensuring they have everything they need when it comes to tools and parts.  This role has the scope to really make a valuable difference in the lives of our production team by supporting an organised workplace environment.

To be considered for this role, you will have the following:

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Material Handler, or a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience receiving and processing warehouse stock products.
  • Experience moving and recording materials in production, maintaining stock accuracy and scanner experience advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of initiative.
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
  • A strong sense of ethics and a reliable nature.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to follow and comply with procedures, rules and regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining a safe working environment.
