About Us:

Based in Sydney's Western Suburbs, Custom Denning is leading the charge in locally manufactured electric vehicles. We’re working closely with the NSW government to transition buses to an electric fleet by 2030, contributing to a cleaner, zero-emission future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design wiring diagrams and electronic circuits.
• Integrate complex electrical systems into vehicles.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in HV/LV vehicle systems.
• Ensure seamless integration of systems into customer environments.
• Work with CAN communication and diagnostic protocols (e.g., CCP, J1939, UDS, OBDII).
• Collaborate with and manage suppliers for electrical components and systems.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience in wiring diagram creation and electronic circuit design.
• Hands-on experience with vehicle electrical systems integration.
• Expertise in fault diagnosis for HV/LV systems.
• Familiarity with CAN communication and diagnostic protocols.
• Strong supplier management skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Development of technical requirements.
• PCB design, including component selection, layout optimization, and verification & validation (V&V).
• Experience with vehicle development and calibration tools (e.g., CANalyzer, CANape).
• Knowledge of energy efficiency optimization.
• Understanding of functional safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508).
• Experience supporting service departments.
• Embedded software development skills (C, C++).
• Fleet management and telematics knowledge.

General Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and listening skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
