The Opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Spray Painter to contribute to the finishing touches of our buses that we manufacture on site. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the aesthetic appeal and protective coatings of our vehicles meet our high standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed.
• Mix and match paint colors to achieve the desired finish.
• Operate and maintain spray painting equipment.
• Apply primer, basecoats, and clear coats to heavy vehicle surfaces.
• Ensure consistency and quality in the application of paint finishes.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure and safe working environment.
• Assist in maintaining an organised and clean workspace.

About You:

• Proven experience as a spray painter, preferably in the automotive or heavy vehicle industry.
• Knowledge of various painting techniques, color mixing, and finishing processes.
• Familiarity with using and maintaining spray painting equipment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in a manufacturing setting.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
